services for PdM Programs, Reliability and Risk Management. We use
the latest technology available to provide the best quality infrared
imaging nationwide and to provide our customers with extensive,
user-friendly analysis reports.
Our experienced staff will analyze your needs
and recommend a solution most appropriate for your specific application.
Typical applications for our infrared inspection services include:
- Electrical Inspections
- Mechanical Inspections
- Pipe Inspections
- Roof Inspections
- Refractory Applications
- Process and Product Applications
- Energy Conservation
- Building Heat Loss or Building Envelopes
Bearing Monitoring
The most frequent cause of mechanical breakdown
is bearing failure. We will check bearings for installation faults,
shaft alignment, imbalance, detect early signs of surface damage,
and measure lubrication condition.
Vibration Analysis
Vibration severity measuring is very efficient
in detecting the most common machine faults, such as imbalance,
structural weakness, and loose parts. Utilizing the Shock Pulse
Method, our technicians will cost-effectively and accurately determine
the overall condition of your equipment. More

Ultrasonic Testing
Ultrasonic equipment is used to test overhead
power transmission lines in lieu of infrared imaging, which cannot
detect high voltage insulator failures. Ultrasonic testing is also
used to detect leaks, faulty steam traps and valves, and for mechanical
troubleshooting.
Electrical Inspection
Thermoscan Inc. provides infrared inspections,
ultrasound testing, bearing monitoring and vibration analysis for
various industries. We are a consulting firm focusing on predictive
and preventative maintenance programs.
Flat roof repair
Thermoscan Inc. provide flat roof moisture surveys
for the purpose of identifying potential problems within a roofing
system. Infrared surveys are performed and verified with moisture
probes.
Pipe inspection
Thermoscan Inc. provides NDT service for the purpose
of corrosion analysis and leak detection. Infrared inspections are
also performed to detect leaks in radiant heating systems and underground
steam and condensate piping.
Refractory
Thermoscan Inc. provides infrared inspections
of refractory systems for boilers, thermal oxidizers, incinerators,
and other high temperature equipment.
